Sooty? Sweep? Sue? Sweep? Sue? Sooty?

A friend just posted this on Facebook. I used to love The Sooty Show. Is it just me though, or is that screaming animation with dubbed sound a bit eerie? Every time they repeat it, the programme feels more and more like a weird video installation in a gallery. Anyway, enjoy.

It's very eerie. Like something off a Stones' album. I'm also worried that I began to understand what Sweep was saying without Matthew Corbett's repetitions.

Me too! Ooh I'm glad you said it first.

I've interviewed Sweep. There, I've said it...

OK, we're going to need a bit more of an explanation please Sweens.

It would have been nice if sweep had arrived at his destination, only to find he had accidently been summoned to a gallery.

To add to the weirdness, at the end of that clip it looks suspiciously like Corbett is decked out as an old lady, which makes me think it is he doing the scream. That just makes it more creepy on subsequent plays.

That is so good.

I've interviewed Sweep. There's not much else to say. We had a chat...Corbett's nephew was there as a translator, but he wasn't needed after a while. We even got him to read out our telephone number for us...

''eep-eep-eeep-eeeep...eepeepeep-eeep, eep-eepeep-eeeep''

Now I've gone for the phonetic 'eep' there, but I don't think it looks quite right. Any other suggestions?
